[Cambot has found something strange! He flies past the media deck, picking up the sounds of what could be a soap opera given the cheesy music and dialogue. He turns back to see who or what he can make fun of, however when he arrives on the deck he instead finds a small, teal animal lying on the couch. Shouldn't a platypus be on the nature deck?

The platypus looks up and makes a chittering noise, his eyes going in both directions so he's not looking directly at Cambot. Cambot zooms in on the platypus as if testing this. There have been talking ponies and birds and what not, surely the platypus wasn't...just a platypus.

But, nope, Perry just keeps lying there on the couch with his eyes pointing in two different directions. A subtitle pops up on the screen]

"JUST A PLATYPUS!"

[Cambot then spins around to leave, not seeing Perry let out a sigh of relief and getting comfy on the couch to enjoy his soaps. Perry makes a mental note to do something about that camera floating around otherwise he might be in trouble.]

[Cambot will assist you Liz and returns to the room Perry was in. Was that movement? No, must have just been the light from the tv because the platypus is right where Cambot left it.

Perry curls up on the couch and wishes the camera would LEAVE, but apparently it won't so he's stuck pretending to be your average platypus. Getting past this Cambot is going to be harder than he thought]

[Ammy watches this new arrival with a confused look on her face. What sort of animal is that? It looks like a duck, but it's furry and has a weird tail. What would she feed it?]

[Perry may not look it but he is eyeing you too wolf. You don't have a hat so you're not with OWCA, but for all he knows you could be trying to get the same information out of him.

He's not going to do anything with that camera watching him though. He gives it a quick glance before going back to his normal, cross-eyed expression.]

[No response. Funny, because the ponies and cats and dog-people here all talk like the humans, too. Maybe this animal is more like her?]

[She watches for a little bit, then goes to investigate. The Cambot follows her for awhile and she tries to find her way around the satellite, before she finally makes it to the media deck. She approaches the platypus cautiously.]

...Huh. [Riku's never seen a platypus, period, beyond a book. He's totally trying to figure out where the animal is before getting up from his reading. Another bad comic book? Yep.]

[Cambot stays on the platypus since apparently people are interested in it. This is much to Perry's annoyance since he JUST WANTS TO BE LEFT ALONE SO HE CAN PUT HIS HAT ON.

He huffs and bides his time. Surely the camera will find something MORE interesting if he just stays still. Not to mention Perry is missing his soap opera and he has missed a LOT of episodes lately. He was sort of surprised he could even find it in space.]

[He certainly looks intrigued. His glitchy Cambot is following him down the hall. His footsteps can be heard down the hall as he heads towards the media deck.]

[As soon as Fluttershy saw there was another animal on the SOL--outside of the Nature Deck, no less!--she rushed off to find him something for him. Now she comes fluttering up, and sets down the basket she's carrying by the couch]

Oh, hello, Mister Platypus, sir. Um, I saw from Cambot that you'd arrived, so... I thought maybe you'd like a welcome basket.

[She nudges the basket towards him] I did my best to get proper food for you, there's shrimp and crayfish in there. My name's Fluttershy, so... please let me know if you need anything else, okay?

[Cambot plays a track of an audience going 'AAAWWWW' because Fluttershy is being so nice.

Perry is a little surprised by the talking yellow pony. He's seen a talking zebra a few times but this is new. He blinks up at the pony and realizes she also has wings. Well that's new. He almost breaks character in his surprise but then remembers that the stupid recording robot is still hanging around and merely huffs in approval, moving towards the food basket.

He DID miss breakfast after all and it would be rude to pass up a meal]

[She picks up something maybe a little odd in his behavior, but nothing really to give her pause. All that really matters is he's eating!]

Umm, let's see. There's a nice little nature deck on another floor, if you think you'll be more comfortable there. But there's also lots of cozy rooms with nice comfy beds, so you can take your pick. And everyone's very, very helpful if you need anything at all.

Well, ok, duh, she's pretty sure he can talk or is unusual at the least. Teal platypi are like white cats with crescent moon bald spots. Only they don't nag Minako in public. Which automatically makes Perry > Artemis. If he can talk he must have a reason not to speak.

Actually, speaking of which she's right behind Perry all of a sudden. Regardless of anything else, she's never actually seen a platypus up close and personal!]

This is pretty neat! I wonder if you mind me petting you or picking you up, Mr. Platypus!

[He is, but he won't tell you that because he's trying to pass himself off as a regular pet. Actually, even if he COULD tell you that he can't because he is a platypus who doesn't speak...though he is VERY adept at body language and even writing so, yeah, there's that.

Instead, all you're getting is the platypus continuing to lay out on the couch just kind of biding his time]

[Cambot puts up the message "THIS IS A PLATYPUS" with a graphic arrow pointing down at Perry.

Perry just lays on the couch and blinks once]

[Gasp, could it be...? After weeks of being on this satellite without seeing any of his family or friends from home!

Cambot is a little taken aback with his sudden enthusiasm.]

Perry!! Did you just get here?

Perry chatters in his usual way, he is now not going to move at all until Phineas gets here!]
