[Cambot has found something strange! He flies past the media deck, picking up the sounds of what could be a soap opera given the cheesy music and dialogue. He turns back to see who or what he can make fun of, however when he arrives on the deck he instead finds a small, teal animal lying on the couch. Shouldn't a platypus be on the nature deck?

The platypus looks up and makes a chittering noise, his eyes going in both directions so he's not looking directly at Cambot. Cambot zooms in on the platypus as if testing this. There have been talking ponies and birds and what not, surely the platypus wasn't...just a platypus.

But, nope, Perry just keeps lying there on the couch with his eyes pointing in two different directions. A subtitle pops up on the screen]

"JUST A PLATYPUS!"

[Cambot then spins around to leave, not seeing Perry let out a sigh of relief and getting comfy on the couch to enjoy his soaps. Perry makes a mental note to do something about that camera floating around otherwise he might be in trouble.]

[He makes a chattering noise in response. Sorry Minako, he's got a secret identity to maintain, especially around people he doesn't know. Best to stick with the pet disguise for the moment]

[That's ok! Whether she finds Perry suspicious or not, she's not saying.

Well, ok, duh, she's pretty sure he can talk or is unusual at the least. Teal platypi are like white cats with crescent moon bald spots. Only they don't nag Minako in public. Which automatically makes Perry > Artemis. If he can talk he must have a reason not to speak.

Actually, speaking of which she's right behind Perry all of a sudden. Regardless of anything else, she's never actually seen a platypus up close and personal!]

This is pretty neat! I wonder if you mind me petting you or picking you up, Mr. Platypus!

[Perry jumps in surprise. How the HECK had she gotten in here so quickly and without him realizing either?! He manages to conceal his look of shock and irritation by quickly making his eyes point in two different directions and chattering irritably at her, his fur sticking up slightly.

Perry shakes himself off. He's going to have to be VEEERRRRYYYY careful around THIS one. Of course, he doesn't respond to her question and just flops back on the couch. Do whatever you want Minako just DON'T SCARE HIM LIKE THAT AGAIN]

Oh, hey, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to upset you.

[Would belly rubs make it better?]

[Perry does like being petted, but he's not going to tell you that. Mostly because he can't but also because he has a secret identity to maintain here]

[Welp, only one way to find out!

Belly rubs are a go!]

[And now Perry is on his back and his belly is being rubbed. Ooooh there is NO resisting that. If he were a cat he'd be purring but he is not a cat, he is a platypus. Instead you just get to see his eyes closes as he enjoys more pets.

Okay, perhaps this strange girl isn't as bad as he first pegged her to be. She must have a pet of her own, she's a little better at this than Riku.

Oooh belly rubs, yes, that's the spot right there.]

Aaaah! You are adorable!

[And way more accommodating than Artemis. Artemis always whines about getting belly rubs too often because he's not a house pet. Whatever.]

[He doesn't get "adorable from teenage girls often, especially Candice, but he enjoys the compliment all the same.

What's wrong with that cat though? Perry's cover is SUPPOSED to be a pet and he likes the perks that come with being loved and doted on without asking for it. There's nothing better than being someone's pet in his opinion.]

[Hey, if the shoe fits!

...Well, Artemis is technically an alien from an advanced civilization. Still. She totally knows, right? Artemis is such a snob!]
