PlatyPost #1
[Cambot has found something strange! He flies past the media deck, picking up the sounds of what could be a soap opera given the cheesy music and dialogue. He turns back to see who or what he can make fun of, however when he arrives on the deck he instead finds a small, teal animal lying on the couch. Shouldn't a platypus be on the nature deck?
The platypus looks up and makes a chittering noise, his eyes going in both directions so he's not looking directly at Cambot. Cambot zooms in on the platypus as if testing this. There have been talking ponies and birds and what not, surely the platypus wasn't...just a platypus.
But, nope, Perry just keeps lying there on the couch with his eyes pointing in two different directions. A subtitle pops up on the screen]
"JUST A PLATYPUS!"
[Cambot then spins around to leave, not seeing Perry let out a sigh of relief and getting comfy on the couch to enjoy his soaps. Perry makes a mental note to do something about that camera floating around otherwise he might be in trouble.]

He's getting a little bit better at understanding Ammy's questions. He shrugs. Honestly he just got here a short bit ago and doesn't know who all is on board or where he really is other than on a satellite in space. As far as whether or not other humans can know, well, he'd rather err on the side of caution for now, especially until he knows more about the situation. His body language and facial expressions convey the question he hasn't asked yet: where are we and what's going on?
He wants to help but he can't exactly help if he doesn't know the situation and Major Monogram hadn't briefed him as usual so this was either unrelated or a surprise to even the Major.]

[As to his other question...well, that's rather hard to explain, especially since Ammy doesn't quite get it all herself. She saw one of the experiments and has seen the Mads talk, but it's still all pretty weird. Finally, she pulls out several sheets of paper and starts painting. Once done, she shows three sheets to Perry:]
[They are in a ship up in space, there are two mean scientists down in the earth below, and they must read bad stories at the scientists' insistence.]

He can't help but wonder who THESE guys are though and what sort of plan involves bad literature? No, actually, he takes that second question back. He can just imagine Doof pulling off a scheme like that with something like the Badbookinator or something. He sighs, yeah, totally used to this sort of thing and he hands the drawings back to Ammy. He's thankful she explained it at least.]

[Oh, there is something else she needs to mention...she nods in the direction that the Cambots left, and then gives Perry a big wolfy grin, which could look either happy or a bit threatening. The idea being: they need to be happy and positive, especially for the camera robots. She then paws the drawing of the Mads again, like stomping on them. Them staying positive will be bad for the scientists.]

Perry looks from the robot down to the drawing of the Mads. Well, he's pretty good about not letting these things get him down. He nods, letting her know that shouldn't be a problem...but then pauses and reiterates the whole 'I'm supposed to be a pet on camera, someone might see me.' He does this by indicating the cambot and then switching back into his 'just a platypus' mode]

[Speaking of making people happy, Ammy has one other question, and draws it for Perry:]
[What does he like to eat?]
no subject
He taps Ammy's drawing, directing the same question back to her. He's fine with this kind of small talk.]

[In response to Perry's question, she draws a few of the foods she's had and liked:]
[Turnips, beef and chicken dumplings, rice stew, roasted fish, and best of all...cherry cakes!]
no subject
He looks from the drawing back to Ammy and points to the drawing. Where did she learn to paint like that anyway?]
no subject
[She's not sure if Perry will understand it or not (not that many recognized her name, after all,) but she paints for him the symbol for the gods:]

Perry draws a superhero and taps the picture, asking if that's what she is and if she lost her powers or something like that?]

[But how else to explain it? She has to paint because she's a god, and that's what you do to bring up the sun or make the trees grow. So she tries another drawing, more to show directly that she paints things like water, fire, thunder, day and night:]
no subject
Mystical powers then? Was that it? He waggled his paws to signify this but, unforunately, still looked pretty skeptical. Sorry Ammy, it's just hard for a platypus to buy that you paint the sun or something]

*Angel is Perry's decided nickname for Ammy since, well, they can't really exchange names since Perry couldn't read Japanese

[She smiles, nods, and trots back out of the room, expecting Perry to follow. Hmm, where to show him around first...well, there's probably the sleeping areas to show him, plus the cafeteria is also important. She also wants to show him the nature deck, since that's definitely a nice thing to have around here! But first, to the upper decks...]

He doesn't need much of a space to sleep and he's sort of used to sleeping with others. He IS a pet after all. He wonders if the cafeteria even serves what he likes to eat.]

[Next, it's down aways to show the cafeteria deck, with all the tables and chairs, and most of all the food synthesizer. Ammy is a little afraid to mess with it considering what happened the first time she used it, but she nods to the buttons to show that you press these to make the food you want come out.]

A tour was just what he needed]
