[Cambot has found something strange! He flies past the media deck, picking up the sounds of what could be a soap opera given the cheesy music and dialogue. He turns back to see who or what he can make fun of, however when he arrives on the deck he instead finds a small, teal animal lying on the couch. Shouldn't a platypus be on the nature deck?

The platypus looks up and makes a chittering noise, his eyes going in both directions so he's not looking directly at Cambot. Cambot zooms in on the platypus as if testing this. There have been talking ponies and birds and what not, surely the platypus wasn't...just a platypus.

But, nope, Perry just keeps lying there on the couch with his eyes pointing in two different directions. A subtitle pops up on the screen]

"JUST A PLATYPUS!"

[Cambot then spins around to leave, not seeing Perry let out a sigh of relief and getting comfy on the couch to enjoy his soaps. Perry makes a mental note to do something about that camera floating around otherwise he might be in trouble.]

[That's a bit more of a difficult question to answer...she knows how to paint because that's just how the gods affect the world. So she's sort of always been able to.]

[She's not sure if Perry will understand it or not (not that many recognized her name, after all,) but she paints for him the symbol for the gods:]

[Nope, Perry doesn't get it. He looks very confused in fact, making the swirl in the air with a questioning look. Sorry Ammy, Perry isn't up to date on his mythology or anything like that. He gives her an apologetic look.]

[Hmm, that doesn't work at all. Godhood can be difficult to explain without seeing it firsthand. Ammy pulls out another old drawing: showing her with her divine instrument, and the fact that it's now missing.]

[Well, she's not an agent. Maybe she was a superhero, although that thing on her back looks more like flames than a cape.

Perry draws a superhero and taps the picture, asking if that's what she is and if she lost her powers or something like that?]

[Lost her powers, yes, but not a superhero. Gods have rather different jobs than superheroes. She shakes her head no, and tries to draw another picture, of the astral plain. Maybe this will help out more:]

[The first thing that pops into Perry's head is Heaven, although this isn't quite what he pictured Heaven to be...if platypus considered such things. He shook his head again, still not quite sure he understood but drew and angel anyway]

[Was this working more? Ammy waited while Perry drew a response...and as it so happened, angels as they were understood by the western world looked an awful lot like Celestials! Ammy nodded...yes, those sorts of people were there!]

[Perry blinked, trying to take that in for a moment. So Ammy was some kind of Angel or something? He wasn't sure how that was even possible! Besides, how did that even answer where she learned how to paint? He couldn't help but give her a skeptical look as if to say 'No, really, where did you learn to paint?']

[Hmm, Perry looked a bit skeptical. Perhaps the gods did not get involved that much where he was from...which, to be fair, they hadn't much in her country for a long time, either.]

[But how else to explain it? She has to paint because she's a god, and that's what you do to bring up the sun or make the trees grow. So she tries another drawing, more to show directly that she paints things like water, fire, thunder, day and night:]

[Perry still wasn't quite sure he understood. Was she saying she was some kind of god then? It had never really come up in any of his missions, Perry wasn't well-versed in mythology unfortunately. His confusion was still pretty apparent.

Mystical powers then? Was that it? He waggled his paws to signify this but, unforunately, still looked pretty skeptical. Sorry Ammy, it's just hard for a platypus to buy that you paint the sun or something]

[Well, he's certainly not the first skeptic Ammy has ever come across. Unfortunately, without her brushes here, she can't really demonstrate otherwise to Perry. She nods once to his paw-waggling about mystic powers, but doesn't try to convince him any further. Faith isn't something you can force on anyone, after all. Him not believing her is not going to upset her much or anything.]

[Perry pats her head. Sorry he can't understand better but honestly what did you expect from a semi-silent conversation. He hops off the couch and onto all fours, tilting his head to the side he makes a chattering noise. How about you show him around instead, Angel.* That might help him out]


*Angel is Perry's decided nickname for Ammy since, well, they can't really exchange names since Perry couldn't read Japanese

[Silent conversations can only go so far, after all. That's a new nickname, too; but a nice one at least!]

[She smiles, nods, and trots back out of the room, expecting Perry to follow. Hmm, where to show him around first...well, there's probably the sleeping areas to show him, plus the cafeteria is also important. She also wants to show him the nature deck, since that's definitely a nice thing to have around here! But first, to the upper decks...]

[Perry follows, keeping an eye out for others but mostly reasserting his disguise. Surely it's not TOO suspicious if he follows Angel.

He doesn't need much of a space to sleep and he's sort of used to sleeping with others. He IS a pet after all. He wonders if the cafeteria even serves what he likes to eat.]

[It shouldn't be too more suspicious...no more than anything else around here, anyway. She leads Perry up to decks two and three, showing rows of rooms. She also turns around once and lies down to show that this is where everyone sleeps, and anything that's open is good for him.]

[Next, it's down aways to show the cafeteria deck, with all the tables and chairs, and most of all the food synthesizer. Ammy is a little afraid to mess with it considering what happened the first time she used it, but she nods to the buttons to show that you press these to make the food you want come out.]

[Perry peers at everything, also making note of janitor closets and empty rooms into which he might be able to duck into and get his hat on or do things normal platypi don't. It's good to know a location after all, especially one as strange as this.

A tour was just what he needed]
