[Cambot has found something strange! He flies past the media deck, picking up the sounds of what could be a soap opera given the cheesy music and dialogue. He turns back to see who or what he can make fun of, however when he arrives on the deck he instead finds a small, teal animal lying on the couch. Shouldn't a platypus be on the nature deck?

The platypus looks up and makes a chittering noise, his eyes going in both directions so he's not looking directly at Cambot. Cambot zooms in on the platypus as if testing this. There have been talking ponies and birds and what not, surely the platypus wasn't...just a platypus.

But, nope, Perry just keeps lying there on the couch with his eyes pointing in two different directions. A subtitle pops up on the screen]

"JUST A PLATYPUS!"

[Cambot then spins around to leave, not seeing Perry let out a sigh of relief and getting comfy on the couch to enjoy his soaps. Perry makes a mental note to do something about that camera floating around otherwise he might be in trouble.]

[Perry perks up a bit at the sound of footsteps. It could be Doofenshmirtz finally coming to reveal himself. Unless this space station was Phineas and Ferb's doing, Perry couldn't exactly rule that possibility out.

One of his paws is itching to whip out his hat but he ends up going back into regular, animal mode when a strange boy comes in followed by ANOTHER cambot. Great, just great, now he was NEVER going to get out of this room.

[Riku kneels to look at the playtpus curiously.]

Hey, little guy. Wonder what world you came from. [He holds out his hand to the teal playtpus, but carefully. No need to frighten the animal.]

[The platypus has one eye on you Riku...and one eye on that cambot. He's not sure which he is more nervous about. He might have loosened up a bit if there were only other animals on the SoL but you being here Riku means there are humans and that he has to be careful that this isn't one of Phineas's inventions. A party in space maybe? It's not like Perry has SEEN this human before, but this human also doesn't strike Perry as the type to hang out with Dr. Doof either.

Perry sniffs at the hand to play the part of pet, but he's not a dog so it's not like he's going to lick it or anything. Instead he nudges it once with his head, much like a cat might, and then goes back to sitting with that blank expression on the couch. If he's stuck here then darn it he is going to get a head scratch or SOMETHING out of this. He just hopes Riku can take a hint]

[Riku slowly takes a seat on the couch next to the animal. It didn't seem afraid of him, which probably meant the creature was used to human contact. The little head nudge reminds him a little of the neighbor's pet, Fluffy, next door. He slowly moves his hand over the animal and strokes its slick fur. After a moment he tries scratching around where its ear would be.]

...Never thought I'd find a platypus here.

[Perry makes no sound, but it's pretty obvious that he is content being stroked like a cat as his eyes flutter a little close. Right, maybe this wasn't the best idea since now he was going to get comfy and not want to explore this new location.

When Riku gets behind his ear, however, his beaver-like tail flicks upwards in a bout of involuntary reaction.]

[So everyone else in this thread can actually have time. XD]

[At that tail flick, Riku pauses, then just smiles. It's strange, he thinks, how contagious a happy animal can be. He could bring it over to show Sora... But don't male platypi have venomous barbs? How can you tell if it's a boy or a girl? Maybe it's best to let it be, just in case it fights. There's no Elixirs here.]

[After a few moments, Riku slowly got up, careful not to disturb the cushions too much.] Hope you'll be here when I get back. My best friend would love to see you. [He reaches down to give him one last little scratch and then heads off, his Cambot in tow. It sounds like he's trying to get hold of Sora with it.]
