First Sunrise

[There is currently a white wolf staring at the camera. At first, she's just confused. However, when Cambot moves a little closer, she jumps back and crouches down into a defensive position, growling at the strange floating object. Cambot immediately backs off again, just as startled as she is.]

[Once Amaterasu determines that the floating object is not a threat, she relaxes a bit and approaches it again, sniffing. Cambot continues to keep a good distance. Amaterasu sits down and cocks her head at Cambot, whining a little. Can this object actually help her out?]

[After there's no response, Ammy leaves the Cambot's view. When she returns, she's holding up a painting in her mouth:]

A dog? [He proceeds to think out loud]

You can draw? Wow, Lt. Hawkeye probably couldn't even train Black Hayate to do that.

[Oh, right, he should probably figure out what you want]

You're asking about the sun? Well we're inside so you're not going to be able to see it. [thoughtful] But, if you can draw you're probably smart enough to realize that.

[A wolf actually, but people often talk to her as if she were a dog, so she doesn't mind. She hasn't heard of Black Hayate, though.]

[She does realize it, but still can't figure out why she can't call her sun. She turns around so that her back is facing Maes, then turns her head back towards him and barks once.]

Sorry, I've got nothing. [shaking his head] I like animals but I'm not the best at understanding them.

[Ammy sighs a bit. Hmmm, how to explain this...she still has the two paintings that she showed Ienzo, so she shows them again:]

[Studies picture for a bit. He has a feeling she doesn't mean she's on fire...although it DOES look like flames. Hmmm]

So you're missing that fire thing on your back? Wait...is THAT the sun you were talking about?

[Putting the pieces together] Is that like an ability or power of yours?

[Now she's getting through! Ammy barks twice, as an affirmative to both questions.]

Now we're getting somewhere.

[runs hand through his hair] I hate to break it to you though but apparently abilities like that are hindered here. I had one kid suggest it to be a sort of power dampening field or something. Sorry, but you won't be getting a sun like that for awhile.
