[Not long after this, Cambot comes across Xion in Sora's room. At least, one would think it's Xion, but her hair looks a little too brown--no, wait, it's black as usual, must have been a trick of the light.

It looks like she's checking up on Sora, who looks like he's asleep. Pretty deeply asleep, too; he doesn't seem to be aware of Xion checking his pulse. She looks up when she's done, and she's pretty obviously concerned and tired. When her mouth moves as if she's speaking, Cambot helpfully provides subtitles.]

I can't get him to wake up.

What happened?

[Like so many others', Aqua's cambot helpful offers subtitles, although it's entirely possibly her concerned look would have been enough.]

[It probably would have, especially since in this kind of situation that's the first question on most people's minds. The full explanation isn't something that Xion wants to go into over Cambot.]

It's kind of a long story.

[She looks grateful for the offer.]

I can't think of anything. It looks like we'll have to wait for him to wake up on his own.

I hope he wakes up soon, then.

[She waits; it shouldn't be long before Aqua gets there.]

[wavesinherheart]

[It's not long at all before Aqua arrives, knocking on the door. She's been invited, but that doesn't mean she shouldn't be polite about it.]

[Xion answers and manages a slight smile as she lets Aqua in. Even if worried, she's glad Aqua's there.]

[To be honest, she isn't sure what she can do. Not really. But if her presence is enough, she'll gladly offer that.]

Are you doing alright?

[skysmirror]

[Her presence is definitely enough. Xion is not quite doing alright, but there's no need to bring Aqua down.]

I'm okay.

[wavesinherheart]

That's good.

[skysmirror]

I'm not sure how long it'll take for him to wake up--I was hoping it'd be as soon as we got back, but...

I think we're just going to have to wait.

[skysmirror]

[She nods.]

I know, but...the longer it takes the more I worry.

[wavesinherheart]

I know. It's... hard, waiting.

[skysmirror]

[Xion gives Aqua a curious look. That sounds like something said due to having had experience, but would it be rude to ask why?]

[wavesinherheart]

[Aqua doesn't offer an explanation. It's not a great secret, at this point, but it's not going to get Sora back any sooner either.]

[Xion hazards a guess.]

Ven?

[wavesinherheart]

Mmm. When he'd just started to live with us.

[skysmirror]

[Xion nods. She thought she remembered hearing something about that.

That cleared up, she can't think of much more to say and isn't really up to much small talk. Sitting on the bed by Sora, she gestures towards the desk chair. That's for Aqua, if she thinks she'll be staying a while.]

[wavesinherheart]

[There's a moment of hesitation, and then Aqua takes the chair. There's nothing she needs to do right now, and so she figures she can offer company for a while yet.]

Sorry, she suddenly got quiet on me.

[Xion smiles, glad for the company.]
