14th Dawn

[A bunch of static comes over the screen and it's apparent Riku's Cambot ran into the wall based on image location.]

You okay, there, Cam?

[Cambot looks over to Riku, who's changing clothes. Behind him is a wall of what looks like hand-drawn pictures. Most of his normal clothing seemed to have run away this week. As he pulls the bandages around his torso tight, one can see that though slightly leaner, his build is very reminiscent of someone else's. At least he doesn't really seem to be pained too much while adjusting them anymore. He grabs his shirt from the back of his chair and a bright blue vest. He looks very much like a teenager of the period. As he puts on the puffy vest, he pauses, looking right at Cambot.]

Wait, are you recording again? [When Cambot pans up and down a little, Riku runs his hand over his face.] Tell me I had my pants on... [At least he did.]

[For Squall, the only real difference is that he's looking a good bit more like Leon.]

I wouldn't count on it being okay.

[He straightens his collar.]

...It' a good bot, but pretty special sometimes. [The unamused look seems to be more for the bot than Leon.]

I noticed.

[Namine is happy to offer reassurance.]

You did.

[He looks up at the screen... And his eyes go to look offscreen. Now he's seen her grown-up, too. Riku looks slightly hesitant, but he hasn't embarrassed himself to be blushing, thankfully, like when...]

At least I get to keep that shred of dignity a little longer.

[Namine frowns thoughtfully at this reaction, since it's not what she's come to expect from him, but lets it slide.]

Did you find those clothes with the costumes?

[She hadn't seen anything like them on the theatre deck, but things do change there sometimes.]

No, actually. [He thumbs towards his closet.] I don't have a lot of good clothes, but some of them changed into this. So either it's re-wear or this.

[He slowly looks back. What'd this week do to her attire, anyway?]

I think that looks okay. [She holds up a leotard] My closet was full of these.

[Cambot pans back to show the leotard fully, and gets a good shot of what Nami's wearing. She's got leggings, too, but they're white, and a long, dark blue shirt with bright colors in swirly patterns. Looks like someone pulled off a secret costume raid successfully]

[He shrugs.] I'd like it better if the vest wasn't puffy, but I feel weird not wearing one.

[And then she holds that up, and Riku double-takes. And then as Riku scratches the back of his head and looks away, Cambot starts up a song. Namine must remind it of someone. It doesn't get too far into the song, as it reads Riku's expression.]

[To Riku's relief at least she's not wearing a mini-dress.]

[Namine smiles.] Though I don't think I've seen you wear red before.

[She's a little confused by the double-take and music choice. The leotard hadn't been that bad, had it?]

[He thumbs over his shoulder.] Blue one's dirty.

Sorry. I got no idea where Cam gets its music. [It wasn't that so much as something form-fitting, and with a friend with a different body...]

[She nods.]

I don't either, but it seems to know a lot.

Cambots like surprising people like this, don't they?

[He's avoiding eye contact.]

Seems like it's the in-thing to do right now.

[She sighs, but isn't going to comment on that.]

You ever think maybe they somehow plan these things together?

[First caught staring and now caught half-naked. Great track record.]

The others, maybe. I somehow doubt mine's capable. [The camera tilts slightly like Cambot is cocking its head, so to speak.]

[Xion did apologize for startling him. Though why he was doing that in the first place is beyond her.

She gets that he's embarrassed, though, so she's not calling attention to it.]

I thought they were all made to be exactly alike?

[He crosses his arms. What's he looking at? Probably some random object off-camera.]

Made to be, yeah. Maybe mine was stuck on the Tom Servo deck for too long before I found it. ...But it did try to scope out what Dr. Doofenshmirtz was up to without me, which... Was actually pretty brave.

[A little fanfair plays. Riku looks unamused.]

I've said before it's a good bot. But it's kind of "special." I doubt it could plan like that.

[Cambot makes a sad noise. Riku reaches up as if to pat it gently on the head. Though... It kind of is all head.]

[Xion smiles when Riku pats the Cambot. It WAS very brave to go check on the evil scientist all alone.]

I guess they have their own personalities, just like the others.

Mine must get bored sometimes; I don't let it do much.

[He smiles as he's looking away, amused by a thought.] Why haven't they gotten names then?

Does it WANT to do anything in particular? Mine vanishes every once in a while.

[Her smile widens at that.] I don't know. Maybe we need to give them names.

If it does I don't know, but I don't let it record me very much, so there's not much for it to do.

I think you might have gotten some more amused responses so far if you'd been without pants.

[Yeah, he's being a smart ass.]

[But wouldn't Riku be one if he were indeed lacking said pants?]

[At least Riku's comfortable enough with Roxas that any signs of intelligent fannies are met with smirks.]

What, and end up like Terra?

[Roxas chuckles at that.]

Well, maybe that way everybody might let up on him a little.

Maybe. It's almost a running gag with him, though.

Considering, I think he'll let it down sometime after I live down the things here.

So, never?

[He raises a brow.] We'll see.

I guess so.

I spent fifteen years of my life with just pants and everyone here's freaking out over not having a shirt!

No shirt, no big deal. But if Cam started a little earlier, it'd be no pants.

Yyyyeah that would be a problem, wouldn't it?

Y'know, I'm still all for trying to disassemble these little... things. Orvus help me if there's an invasion of robots, but I'm beyond caring at this point.

Understatement.

[Riku's Cambot backs up VERY fast... And back into a wall. It fizzes out again, and the feed comes back with Cambot clearly in Riku's hands.]

-lax Cam. It's okay. Thanks, but no thanks. Maybe I'll have Mike take a look, since he lives with them anyway.

Ahhhh, alright.

But I'm tellin' ya! Next time that thing acts up, it's getting the Omniwrench. No question about it.

[Cambot pipes in a sound effect and tries to get out of Riku's grasp. Riku holds tight by wrapping his arms around it. Nice thread weave on that shirt.]

Keep this up and I'm gonna lose Cam, you know.

Hey, whoa, I'm just kidding! Promise!

Remember, my best pal's a robot. And I KNOW I'd get the lecture of a lifetime if he found out I did that.
