1st emptiness (Forward dated to just after the singing event)

[There's a voice offscreen, being picked up by a random Cambot hovering around]

I always figured Ventus's heart would be ridiculous.

[The voice sounds... kind of like Sora's, but it's deeper, and there's a certain unpleasantness to it. The cambot goes to investigate, and finds the back of the head of a boy with spiky black hair]

But this isn't his heart, is it. [The boy notices something watching him, and turns to look at him, revealing the familiar face of Sora, save for the yellow eyes.]  

It's not ridiculous enough.

[He seems to consider something, then smirks unpleasantly.]

[And Ven isn't even trying to dodge that so of course he gets hit, but there's a grim little smile at that as he redoubles his attacks, aiming for Vanitas' nose. They are both going to look like shit when this is over.]

[All things considered, this is probably a pathetic looking fight. As it stands, Vantias puts all of his effort into pinning Ventus to the ground]

[Call yourself pathetic. Ven kicks off the floor with his feet, aiming a knee directly for Vanitas' shoulder and pushing all his weight up onto his hands yay breakdancing is good for something!. Another kick to the face and he's handspringing back onto his feet.]

[Well, I think you might have broken his nose. TIME TO RETURN THE FAVOR!

Vanitas grabs at Ventus again and knees him in, well, the crotch]

[OWWWWWWWW... MANHOOD... CRUSHED...!]

[Vanitas is a dirty bastard (and his underarmor doesn't reach down that far, time to fix that) and that hurts, but... apparently it's happened once before, in training. Hurts like a bitch but he drops to the floor and rolls away enough to get out of immediate kicking or punching range, pretty much curled around his midsection in pain.]

Cam!

[His voice comes out strangled, but his (slightly dim) but incredibly loyal Cambot shoots out from where it's been recording to rush straight at Vanitas' head. Robot rescue squad!]

[Nope, that's enough of that. Kotetsu makes a dash down the hall, hopping between the two and making a grab for the Cambot.]

[Whatever attack was intended for Ven, Kotetsu will find himself being attacked instead]

[Damnit Kotetsu why do you have to ruin his vengeance! It's just, he promises! Cam makes a series of electronic squeals as Kotetsu grabs him, wanting him to let go so he can continue following Ven's commands. Ven himself pushes himself up to his knees, not fully capable of standing yet but royally pissed as... well, no one on the SoL has ever seen him.]

Kotetsu! Get out!

[eyeofwildtiger]

[It's not easy trying to hold on to an unhappy camera while being attacked, but somehow, Kotetsu manages. ...for now, anyway. He grits his teeth, (cos, ow, that attack hurt) making sure he's firmly in the middle.]

What the hell's gotten in to you?!

Ventus finally learned to fight.

I already knew how to fight! I beat you! Cam, get him!

[He's pushing himself to his feet, but he's still kind of unsteady. Good luck holding onto that Cambot, Kotetsu, it's pretty damn loyal.]

[eyeofwildtiger]

[Kotetsu glares over at the stranger.] Oi, you keep out of this for a sec!

[...and back at Ven.] And you listen t-...whoa! [There goes his grip on the Cambot. D:]

[Vanitas knocks the oncoming Cambot out of the air]

[Roxas arrives just in time to catch the swatted Cambot. He seems irked, for lack of a better term. Sure, he knows about some the things Vanitas has done, but he really wasn't expecting Ven to be the one to start the fight.]

That's enough! Both of you just... stop. We really don't need any fighting here.

[He's perfectly willing to punch one or both of them out if needed to stop this fight.]

[It was mostly because he figured this was his best chance to get the bastard, before he figured out the no-powers thing - and how to compensate for it. And now that that chance is gone, Ven's going to avoid him as much as is possible.]

He tried to kill us all, Roxas! [Sorry buddy, you're getting used as a ladder as Ven grabs your arm to help himself the rest of the way up, but he's still moving gingerly. He lets go once he's on his own feet.] He'll keep trying even here!

[eyeofwildtiger]

[Kotetsu sighs and claps a hand on Ven's shoulder.] Calm down. You're gonna do something else stupid.

[keyofemptiness]

[Vani's just gonna grin creepily at the two boys]

[Roxas has seen creepier grins elsewhere, though it is kind of disturbing seeing such a grin on someone who looks nearly identical to Sora. He's still holding Ven's Cambot and the only reason he doesn't let it go the high risk of it getting smashed if it tries to ram Vanitas again. For now, he gives Vanitas a glare that should make it clear that he'll knock him out if he tries anything before turning to Ven.]

All he can do is try, Ven. And giving him a perfect opportunity by running off after him alone wasn't exactly bright.

[And Ven is glaring right back at Vani, though with other people there he's regaining his composure, though not his determination to end this menace, and he draws himself up to full height.]

I don't care. [That's to both of them.] I won't let him hurt anyone, ever again. I already died once to stop him - you better believe I'll do it again if he lays a finger on any of you.

Then you cross that bridge when you come to it. He tries anything here, then you do what you have to. There's lots of people here watching each others' backs, so no need to go charging in, being the one starting trouble. Now c'mon. Let's get you out of here.
