24th Dawn (Probably backdated to first day of this week)
[Riku's trying to hide his face with an ice pack. Cambot isn't helping.]
Hey. Could someone help me find some aloe on the nature deck? ...It might be a few days before the swelling goes down.
[Cambot manages a good shot, albeit amongst its typical static. Wow, he's got some first and second degree burns across his eyes. Clearly he can see, but still, that's gotta hurt.]

Riku? You okay? What happened?

The basilisk set my blindfold on fire.

Somehow it sounds even worse than Maleficent was...

Maleficent was worse, trust me.

If you say so...

I'm glad that didn't happen.
Do you need any more help?

By the way...way to go! I knew you could handle that big lizard.

Apparently they spit acid now, huh?

...uh. You gonna be okay, there?

I will be. It'll just be a while.

What happened?

My blindfold caught fire when I tried fighting the basilisk. My blindfold may not be a camera, but apparently it thought it was film or something. [Shrugs.]

Actually I fought the basilisk. ...Apparently it's gaze set my blindfold on fire.
no subject
Apparently it did.

Still... It was that much less time someone could have been killed.

And still an unnecessary risk. It's starting to look like dying isn't exactly an issue in this place. Although doesn't necessarily make things better.

Then it would have been me dying and coming back rather than a bunch of others. I don't know about you, but dying doesn't sound like a good time, even if I know I'm coming back.
no subject
... You know what, though? I think I'm slightly more bothered by the fact that it's even possible to die and come back here. Is whatever brought us here keeping anyone from staying dead?
So guess who had a burn first-aid lecture from Axel...
I haven't seen any down there, but I can check again. Is the ice helping? I don't know if it's good for burns.
Natch. [Lynx confirmed there's some on the nature deck probs.]
It'd be strange if she hadn't. [w00t~]
[She takes a few minutes to get there thanks to stopping by the nature deck. When she arrives, she comes bearing aloe.]
Agreed!
I'm really not surprised you'd pay me a visit. [He does sound appreciative, though, and there's a small smile. And really, unlike falling down the stairs, an injury to the face simply feels worse because it's harder to ignore. He's reminded of it at least a little every time he blinks. Last time he let Xion and Namine treat him. This, however, is less of a "let" and more of an "I'll encourage this one."]

[He really shouldn't be surprised, and Xion smiles back. At least he's accepting, even encouraging, the help.] Let's fix up the burn, first.

Thanks.

[Well, those burns definitely looked like they could be worse. Not that they wouldn't be painful while they heal--all burns were--but Riku had managed to avoid the worst. Xion tugged off her gloves, and decided against putting on the medical ones in the first aid kit. While she knew that she was supposed to use them, they were too big, and her hands were probably fairly clean since she wore gloves so much of the time. After tugging an aloe leaf from the plant she'd brought, she broke it open to squeeze some of the gel out of it.]
This is probably going to sting.
[It was only fair to warn him before she starting gently dabbing the gel onto the burn.]
