[Kotetsu stands in the middle of the field on the recreation deck, holding a broom in one hand and tossing a red ball up and down in the other.]

So, I found a rule book with all this stuff. Anyone wanna play? Or at least try out these brooms?

Hey, good! Try to to go too high right now, tho'.

Wooah...

[Sora attempts to control the broom enough to lower it some, but it mostly begins to steer over to the left. Being a pony was easier than this!]

Just tilt the front part down a bit. Should fix that. [He'll float up, too, just in case he needs to step in.]

All right...

[Sora tilts it down a bit. This will likely take some practice, as the broom tilts over too far and he almost dives back into the ground again.]

Yikes!

Whoa, whoa! Too far!

I got thaaaat!

[Sora barely manages to straighten himself out before crashing, and even then, wobbles a little bit once he's level again.]

These things take a little getting used to.

[Kotetsu follows, but sighs in relief when Sora's stable.]

You okay?

[Sora just offers up a grin.]

Yeah. Nothing to it!

Good to hear. Why don't you try to make a lap around the field?

[Sora nods.] All right!

[He takes off around the track...at first shaky, but then finally gets the hang of keeping level and steering. Just for good measure, he takes another lap around, this time picking up speed.]

There you go! Not too fast, now.

[Sora should probably listen, but it's really hard when this is soon becoming fun!]

Yeah, I think I got it!

[Finally does come to a stop--but practically too fast, and he almost falls right off the broom.]

[Kotetsu hurries over with a shrug.]

Hey, I tried to warn ya.

[Sora rubs at the back of his head.]

Yeah...it's just a lot of fun once you really get going!

It is. Just just gotta be careful. The fun goes away pretty quick if you get hurt.

I will! [As careful as he ever is, anyway.]

So are we doing some sort of game with these?

Yep. Once you get the basics of flying down, anyway.

[And Sora's all about competitions, even if he doesn't have 'the basics' down right away...]

Great! I'm ready!

Mmm, nope. Once you can stop without going head over heels, then we'll start.

Aww, come on! I've got it down, see?

[He gets on the broom again and takes off...once again, a little bit too fast. He tries again to slow down, but again it's too fast of a stop. Sora looks frustrated.]

Still a little wild, there. Ease into your stops. Plan ahead a bit.

Okay, okay, I'll try...

[Sora settles down again, concentrates, and starts the broom up. After a couple of laps, he tries to stop a bit slower, and manages to get it better this time.]

There! Much better. I think we can start some of the basics of the game.

All right!

[And Sora lines up, completely ready to go.]

Alright, we'll start easy. [He picks up a red ball.] Just a simple game of catch. Ready? [He floats up and tosses it.]
