[Say hello to Liz's tail, everyone. Cambot is following behind her as she's walking down the hallway, seemingly in a huff. Something seems off about her...not just the bad mood radiating off of her, but it's almost like her pony self was drawn with a duller color pallet. Cambot picks up some speed, now hovering right by her side. After a second she notices him, turning and snorting agitatedly.]

Get out of my face.

[Cambot falls back, as if by surprise. Normally this would be the point where he leaves, but he continues to follow from behind again. She's in such a bad mood, he's worried! Would some music make her feel better?]

I said beat it!

[And WHAM, that's a hind hoof right in the lens, and static.]

[Yep, that is not normal. Cambot, you are relieved of duty - Linkara's running off to find her. After a few minutes, he trots up next to her.]

Liz. Talk to me.

I have nothing to discuss. Especially not with you.

Really. Because if you're that ticked off, it sounds like we have a lot to discuss.

[And with that, she turns on him with a harsh glare.] Why don't you just mind your own business for once in your life?

Sorry, I'm incurably nosy. The doctor says it's not fatal, though.

Now tell me what's wrong.

I guess it must come with your inflated ego.

Goes hand in hand with your brand-new attitude problem, right?

Seriously, Liz. This isn't like you. What the hell is going on?

[She whirls on him fully now, looking him dead in the eyes.]

Gee, I don't know, Linkara! I don't think you even have ears for a little speck like me, do you?

[Who are you and what have you done with his girlfriend?]

What are you talking about?

[Iron Liz has gone bye-bye, Egon.]

I am tired of being in your shadow! No matter what I do, everywhere I go it's never "Iron Liz, the funny internet blogger" or "Iron Liz, the RPG critic." No, it's always "Iron Liz, Linkara's girlfriend." That's all I am, just a little trophy for the big stars.

And I bet you don't even care! Do you even understand how much I put up with living with you, between cyborgs and tyrants and gold fucking vests? Hell, I was the one who had to unpack your toys and your clothes and all your damn comic books while you just sat on the futon doing your little show! Just admit it, you just like having me around to boost ratings because you think I'm cute. Or maybe because I'm an easy target?

[She is right in his face by the end of her rant, so wishing she was taller so she could loom over him. And maybe it was a trick of the eyes, but did her coloring get even duller somewhere in all that?]

[Yeah, he can see that. He can't help but wince a bit at the tirade, because she's right about a few things - he isn't always the best guy around, admittedly, but damn if she isn't wrong about the bulk of the argument. Plus, he does have to remember that this isn't really her - he'd bet that Discord thing got to her somehow.]

[Of course, that's not going to stop him from getting right up in her face for his rebuttal.]

I don't keep trophies, Liz. ...except for Mechakara's hand, but that's more like proof. Unless I'm reviewing it, I don't keep anything less than the best. If I wanted a stupid trophy, I'd be dating the Makeover Fairy, not a strong, capable woman who kicks more ass with two swords than I do with half an arsenal.

And I wouldn't even have a show anymore if it wasn't for you! Do you really think people stuck around for another 90's Kid review? No, they stayed because you took over and did a damn good job while I was gone! I don't have you around to boost ratings - I have you around because I need you and because I care about you!

And if you think you're an easy target, you don't give yourself nearly enough credit.

[She stands her ground firmly, leering as he retorts. She doesn't move or say anything, but there is maybe the tiniest flicker of recognition in her eyes as he reaches the end of his speech. I need you...I care about you...

It's only a brief moment that those words resonate with her before her face sours again with a snort and she brushes roughly past him.]

[Too late. He's seen that spark of recognition, and he's not about to let her go now - not when he's so close to having her back.]

Liz!

[He gallops down the hall after her and barrels into her in a full shoulder tackle, knocking her to the floor and landing on top of her. Yeah, he's nowhere near as coordinated on hooves as he is on feet, but this works well enough. He looks into her eyes, completely serious.]

I'm serious, Liz. Come back to me.

[He leans down and kisses her.]

[Her hooves flail in the air as she's knocked on her back, attempting to shove him off of her. He always did have the size advantage there. But then she freezes as he kisses her, a hoof still on his chest and intent to push him away, before gradually she relaxes, lifting her head to return the kiss.

He may not notice, but Liz faintly notices a warm feeling in her lips, slowly washing over her face, color returning to it in full bloom, spreading through her mane, down her back and all the way to the tip of her tail.]

[He keeps his eyes closed for a moment, hoping against hope. It's only when he feels her respond that he opens his eyes - yeah, no peeking while kissing, he knows, but this is a pretty unique occasion. It's a relief to see the color - or at least a less desaturated shade of black - back on her. After a few more moments, he breaks the kiss and leans back, smiling.]

Good to have you back.

[It takes a moment for Liz's eyes to focus when she opens them, and clear confusion crosses her face as she raises a hoof, rubbing her head. Then after a second, she remembers what happened, and she looks up at Linkara with a sort of sheepish smile in return.]

Guess that trick really does work.

Hey, half a century of Disney can't be wrong, right?

[He gets off of her and stands, offering her a hoof up.]

What happened to you anyway?

[She accepts the help, pulling herself back up on her hooves and shaking herself out.]

Discord. Turns out mythological tricksters with the body of five or more different animals can be real douchebags.
