28th Moon. With three wolves.

[Riku is trotting down the hall with something in his mouth. ...Something dead. It appears to be a bird, maybe waterfoul. He comes up to a door and drops it on the floor in front of it, sitting back on his haunches. He holds his head high, looking happy with himself and starts panting. Riku scratches at the door, but it's cracked open slightly. Sticking his nose in, he sniffs a little, but stops short of pushing it open. He waits.

It's Namine's door.

...And is he... Wagging his rear in lieu of a tail?]

[Namine returns the gesture, then turns to lead the way to the bed. Once there, she jumps up to lay on it. It's a lot more comfortable than the floor, come and try, Riku.]

[Riku follows, then jumps up on top of the bed, too. It really is a lot more comfortable. He lays down next to her and proceeds to snuggle her, the side of his head against hers. He lays a "paw" over hers at the wrist.]

[Namine is fine with snuggling. She shifts a little to make room for him, then sighs happily once they're all settled. Maybe they can even get a little sleep...she's feeling drowsy.]

[The feeling's mutual. Riku yawns widely, tongue curling slightly like a normal wolf's. He shifts, resting his jaw on top of her shoulder and closing his eyes contentedly.]

[His yawns are catching, though Namine's isn't quite as wide. After getting a little more comfortable herself, she closes her eyes for a nap.]

[Riku, too, closes his eyes a moment, placing a "paw" on her shoulder with his head. She's warm and comforting. She's a small wolf, but that means he gets to keep her safe. Riku smiles. Yes, her body is warm...

...Her body.

And Riku's eyes flick open, smile gone. He was in Namine's room. He was in Namine's bed. WITH Namine. HALF ON NAMINE.

As a knee-jerk reaction Riku exclaims something unintelligible as he found himself pushing away from her. The result is an undignified near-flial as he falls out of the bed, taking a portion of the covers with him. He gets to his feet a bit more gracefully, though just as fast and rushes out the door.

Riku stops in the hallway and pulls his collar up. Facing the wall, he covers his face with his hands. He's bright red.

And that, boys and girls, is the extremely rare and elusive embarrassed Riku.]

[Being curled up together like this is nice, yes. It's like they're puppies all laying together to keep warm again. Riku had always looked out for her, so having him so close is a comfort...

So close...and then suddenly he pulled away.

Namine sits up quickly when he pushes away, confused and blinking...Had she really thought they were wolf pups? It must have been that device again.

Time to go make sure he was okay. He'd fallen out of the bed, after all, and he'd seemed upset. She hurries after him, catching up to him in the hall.]

Riku?

[He's trying to hard to hide how red he is, even though he knows he's failing miserably. He's faced partially away, his hand concealing his face somewhat. His voice sounds strained.] I-- ...That shouldn't have happened. Being in bed with you...

[Namine notices the blush. So he's embarrassed, not really angry. Though...Had they really done something bad, laying together like that?]

But we were just sleeping...

[And thinking they were wolves, but maybe this wasn't the time to mention that.]

Sleeping... Together. [Oh wow, even his ears are red now.]

[Probably good not to. If they'd been more affectionate and less puppy-like then it might've been worse.]

And that's bad?

[Namine is really confused. It was just sleeping--nothing else. What was wrong with that?]

[Riku paused, slowly turning his head so that a wide eye could be seen though his fingers.] You really don't know do you? [He then turned his entire face away, his hand holding the side of his head.] It implies that we... That maybe I tried to... Or that you might... [He fiddles with his collar. Riku just couldn't seem to get it out.]

I... I can't explain it to a girl. Especially not my girl. Ask Aqua or Iron or... Just ask one of the other girls, I can't do this. [He felt bad having to admit this, but no boyfriend should ever have to give their girlfriend "the talk."]

[Well, Namine didn't usually ask for explanations about things she already knew. It's a little frustrating that he can't come out and say what's bothering him about this so much, but he looks genuinely upset, so she doesn't want to press the issue.]

Okay. I'll ask one of the others.

Th-thanks. ...If you need me later, I'll probably be on the Rec Deck. I... I need to go. [A little time to sort it all out would be good for him. And then the exercise later to distract him would be welcome.]

It's okay. I'll probably be on the theatrical deck.

[After she's spoken to one of the others...and given that poor bird laying under her bed a decent burial, now that she thinks about it.]
