Seventh Sunrise

[Cambot comes across Ammy with a simple red and gold scarf tied around her neck. She's just laying down in her room, looking forlorn. When Cambot finds her, she briefly looks up at him, but doesn't seem all that interested.]

[Perry's missing. She's gone and looked, sniffing all over, but after having similar things happen to Chibi and Shepard, it doesn't take much guessing to realize what's happened to him. One of her good long-time friends is gone, and that's enough to leave Ammy feeling really down. She just sighs at Cambot...saying goodbye is never easy.]

[Ammy accepts the pettings, glad that Xion is still here. She cocks her head at the hand mirror she's holding.]

[Xion's glad to have Ammy here, too. When she notices Ammy looking at the mirror, she sighed.]

It's in case of the snake.

[Ammy flattens her ears and looks concerned. What snake? Why does that require a mirror?]

Liz told us about it--the one that hurt Namine, Mr. Finevoice, and '90's Kid. The mirror is help keep me from accidentally looking it in the eye.

[Ammy considers this, and growls. Someone hurt people here?! She has to find a way to stop them! But if you can't look at it...there's got to be some other way to!]

[Xion tries to calm Ammy down by petting her.]

We're trying to find a way to stop it. Riku can fight blindfolded, and I think he has an idea.

[Ammy perks he head up as if interested. What idea?]

[skysmirror]

[She's not sure of the details.]

I think he's going to use the blindfold, and see if he can find a way to make it look at itself in a mirror--maybe that will take care of it.

[Ammy considers this. Well, she does know that mirrors can be very powerful weapons. Maybe that is what they need to destroy it. She does want to be able to help somehow.]

[skysmirror]

[She can help Riku find the biggest, shiniest mirror there is on the satellite. Or help him make one by shining up armor.]

[yabigfurball]

[Mirrors, she can find. She finally gets up off the bed, and looks towards the door before glancing back at Xion. Maybe she should stay in the rooms, where it's safe.]

[skysmirror]

[Xion is not going to stay behind, thankyouverymuch. Not when her friends are dealing with the same dangerous situation. Besides, have mirror, will avoid the worst-case scenario. She's quick to catch up with Ammy and offer reassuring scritches.]

It'll be okay, girl.

[Ammy looks back up at her, a little concerned, but trusting she can take care of herself. She does wish that she had her reflector now.]

[Well, if there's anyplace she knows probably has a big mirror, it's the theatrical deck. She heads down in that direction.]

[Xion's been taking care of herself for a while. It's not that she doesn't appreciate Ammy's concern, but she'd really rather be helping.

That reflector would definitely be handy to have right now, but they can look for substitutes. She follows Ammy down to the theatrical deck.]

Good idea, there's a lot of mirrors here.

[She nods. Their task now is to find one...hopefully without running into this giant snake along the way. It doesn't seem like it's nearby, though.]

[Along one of the walls there's a set of costumes, some lumber, and what looks like circus mirrors. She sniffs at these, but would it really work if the reflection was warped? There's got to be something better...]

[Fortunately, the snake does seem to be away at the moment. Xion's not particularly afraid of snakes, but there's no need to go hoping for trouble.]

[She walks over to take a look at what Ammy had found. The warped image in the mirror made her laugh. There had to be something better, yes, but...]

Maybe we could set these up in the hallways? For people who don't have handmirrors, I mean. That way, they can still kind of see if the snake is near.

[While Ammy felt normal snakes were fine (and Nuregami was gentle and benevolent), there was Orochi, who was dark and cruel. This creature was probably closer to Orochi than anything, so they'd have to be very careful.]

[Ammy cocked her head...well, in that case, they could be useful to help warn people if it was approaching. She nodded, and flipped one of the mirrors up onto her back.]

[skysmirror]

[Xion's philosophy is that as long as the snake left her and others alone, let it be no matter how big it was. This snake had broken this rule, so therefore she's free to dislike it and do what's necessary to keep it from hurting anyone else.]

[Xion tries to another, then notices a small cart. After retrieving that, she piles three more mirrors onto it. A test push reveals that it's not too heavy for her to move.]

Maybe put them on the housing deck first?

[Ammy flips one more mirror onto her back, and considers herself ready to go. Fighting with these would probably be pretty trippy.]

[She nods at Xion...the places where people are the most would be the best place to start placing the mirrors.]

[skysmirror]

[Circus mirrors: good for warning people about the snake that a giant snake is sneaking up on them, bad for fighting demons. Not that Xion would know anything about the latter.]

[That was her thinking. The snake would probably be most likely to appear where there were more people. Off to the residential decks, then!]

[And off they go. Once getting there, it's just a matter of figuring out where to place the mirrors. Obviously, one should go at the deck entrance, near the stairs and elevator. Some by the bathroom sound like a good idea, too.]

[skysmirror]

[To infinity and beyond? Deck entrances and near the bathrooms sounded like good places, though if they had enough, they should try to put some near corners, too.]

[They set up the ones they've gotten so far. However, if they're going to get any more, they'll probably need to check the deck again for more.]

[Xion leads the way to check for more, but alas there are none.]

Looks like that's all there were.

[Ammy's a little disappointed that they weren't able to find more, or even a more normal mirror, but at least they did what they could. Here's hoping that at least those will help protect people.]
