Seventh Sunrise

[Cambot comes across Ammy with a simple red and gold scarf tied around her neck. She's just laying down in her room, looking forlorn. When Cambot finds her, she briefly looks up at him, but doesn't seem all that interested.]

[Perry's missing. She's gone and looked, sniffing all over, but after having similar things happen to Chibi and Shepard, it doesn't take much guessing to realize what's happened to him. One of her good long-time friends is gone, and that's enough to leave Ammy feeling really down. She just sighs at Cambot...saying goodbye is never easy.]

[Ammy makes to glance out the window of her room, but just looks upset and unsure. He's not here anymore, and she can't sniff him out, so she's just assuming that he's gone back home.]

[guardiano_perduto]

...did he leave? How can you tell?

[A beat, then the situation finally dawns on the Lombax.]

Oh. So you're missing your pal there, huh?

[yabigfurball]

[Ammy paws at her nose...she can smell things out pretty well, if she puts her mind to it.]

[At his last question, she nods.]

[guardiano_perduto]

...lookin' for company? I'm not doing much.

[yabigfurball]

[Ammy gives a small nod. She wouldn't mind a bit of company.]

[guardiano_perduto]

[So give him a little time to find your room! It shouldn't be that hard... should it?

There's certainly a lot of kicking and banging on doors, at least.

Except this one's open and he can see the dog inside, taking a more cautious approach while entering. Upon seeing her on the floor, the Lombax tries to smile down, giving a light pat of the head.]

I'm probably not even supposed to be doin' this, you know. Shouldn't you be chasing me around the room by now?

[yabigfurball]

[She looks up when he enters, and accepts the pats when given.]

[Ammy cocks her head at him, confused. Why should she be chasing him around anywhere?]

[guardiano_perduto]

...nah, you're a good pup, aren't you? You know I'm just trying to help.

[The Lombax kneels down to the wolf's level, moving his fingers to scratch gently behind her ears.]

And I wanna show you that you've still got pals who care about you. We're not goin' anywhere, okay?

[Even on bad days, it's just not in her nature to hunt cats or anything else...there's better ways to find food (including tastier food!) simply by being kind to people. So she accepts the help.]

[Ammy smiles a little bit. She knows that no one seems able to control this Satellite, but she appreciates the sentiment.]

Now, was that a smile I just saw? Come onnn.

[Grinning a bit himself, gentle scratching turns to a playful noogie, trying to raise the pup's spirits.]

You're gonna worry the friends still here if you just mope around!

[yabigfurball]

[Hey, she's not being mopey! Just a little sad. I mean, Perry taught her how to dance and everything.]

[She whines a bit at the noogie. Heeey, watch the fur, there!]

[guardiano_perduto]

Ohh, don't start crying. Cheer up already!

[yabigfurball]

[Hey, she's not crying! You're just giving her a noogie!]

[She swats lightly at Ratchet's hand to warn him off of ruffling her fur.]

[guardiano_perduto]

Alright, alright! Jeez, and I thought you dogs liked roughhousing.

[He does recoil after a bit, however, resting his hands in his lap.]

Besides. It's to let you know I'm really here, okay?

[Sure, but it's hard to give back noogies!]

[And she knows he's just trying to make her feel better. She gives a small smile, and nods.]

[guardiano_perduto]

...good. Just don't forget that, and you'll be fine. Got it?

[yabigfurball]

[Ammy nods back.]

Good. Now, how's about we do something to take your mind off'a things?

[yabigfurball]

[She nods again. She's not sure what, aside from doing some paintings, but she's open to most suggestions.]

Uh... so.

What is it that dogs do for fun?

[yabigfurball]

[Well, Ammy likes a lot of different things that are fun. She pulls out her paintbrush to show that she likes painting. She also gets up and darts back and forth across the room to show that she enjoys a good race.]

So you like paintin' rooms? That's... kinda weird, but okay! Whatever floats your intergalactic comedy-ship, right?

[yabigfurball]

[Well, painting reality is closer to it, but she'll accept rooms. She just gives him a small smile, and nods.]

[guardiano_perduto]

So, you gonna show me what you can do? This place's lookin' a bit dull right now.

[yabigfurball]

[Well, she may as well. Ratchet would probably like a painting of him, right? She pulls out a sheet of her paper, gets her brush, and paints up a quick drawing of Ratchet.]

[She then hands him the drawing. He can keep it if he wants.]
