Someone thinks something important needs discussing...

[Cambot shows us Roxas just stepping out of his room and fidgeting a little with the strange clothes that have appeared for the week. Particularly, he's messing with the scarf, which is black and yellow. He's also grumbling under his breath.]

What else is going on this week?

[Then he looks around and notices Cambot. Normally, he would be a bit annoyed to know he was being filmed without his knowledge or consent, but this time he brightens at the sight of the little robot.]

Perfect timing.

Okay, so... you guys from home. You know where I mean and you know who you are. There's been a little chatter lately about how we ought to sit down and compare notes about what's been happening back home. We should. My question is when and where should we do it. Suggestions?

[There's a pause and he seems to be debating something. When he speaks up again, his tone suggests he suspects a relation, but he's not sure.]

And this is on a different topic, but has anyone else found their room looking like someone went through their stuff?

That sounds like an idea.

I want to say the only ones that need to discuss anything are you, me, Sora, Ienzo and Aeleus, but I think Namine was the one to actually suggest this and maybe pooling all the information we have from different points would help anyway. I will say that I'm not so sure that Lea and Isa need to know more than what we've already let slip. But Isa's already asked about attending.

[Roxas doesn't know about what happened to Isa yet, but he would agree that it's a concern if he did know.]

I don't think that answered my question. While I'd agree we should keep this private, who are we trying to hide from?

[There's a long pause for many reasons.] I hate keeping people in the dark. But Isa is from the past. Sora was hesitant to tell me anything when he got back because it might change the future. I think we should talk first before we tell Isa - or Lea, for that matter - what's going on in the future. I'd even say Ven and Aqua shouldn't, either. I'd limit this to Sora, myself, and anyone who is or has already been directly involved with Organization XIII, meaning Ienzo, Aeleus, you, Namine and Xion. We'll decide from there what we should tell the others.

Lea and Isa already know a bit. They know what Nobodies are and that they end up as Nobodies. But I can agree that they shouldn't find out anymore than they have.

[Thoughtful pause here.] I'm not sure about Aqua, but Ven might be better off not knowing for now. I think I got awfully close to getting decked when I starting trying to work out why Terra had seemed familiar to me the first time I met him here.

So knowing half the truth is somehow better? Or finding it out for themselves later and being hurt because someone could have told them but didn't?

There's... Some information that if someone outside the group I mentioned hears about, and it affects the future... It could be either very bad or very good. And it's likely there's no in-between. It's why I suggested that group.

Roxas, I'm not sure if it would apply that way. [He's not even trying to hide that he knows something.]

Xion. Sora himself held information from me, information that if I knew, I could have prevented things. He's my best friend. But its hard to tell what else could have changed if he had, and I think he knew that. [Aaaand a light briefly comes on when he figures out something Sora said. He tucks it away for later banter.] I kept someone in the dark once before, and I've wondered ever since what could have happened differently. [Talking about Roxas here much?] But in that case it could have improved things. This I don't know.

Riku...

[She sighs, and her voice returns to its usual tone. Still no-nonsense, but not as stern as before.]

I've kept things from one of my best friends, and it ended badly for both of us. They already know a few things about their future. Isn't just having a vague idea worse than knowing the whole truth? At least give them the choice of what to do with the information.

[Yes, she knows the ultimate result of her actions. Roxas filled her in on what happened after she left the Organization.]

[Riku's voice, however, is sterner, and rather blunt.] What if the chance to act on that information was taken from them in such a way the information could be available to our enemies?

That's what we're risking. [He looks bothered.]

I'm not saying to leave them out entirely. I'm saying we meet first and then decide together what we should do, and fill them in accordingly.

[Xion's eyes narrow. She keeps her tone even, but it's probably obvious she doesn't take kindly to being spoken to that way when she'd backed off.]

Point taken, but if that's the case then don't we already run a risk with what they know now?

And maybe that's not a bad idea, but I don't think Cambot's the best place to discuss it.

[Roxas has been in between friends fighting with each other before. It's no less upsetting just because there's no violence this time. Not that this is that much of a fight, but it's getting a little more heated than he cares for.]

Hey, take it easy.

[He hopes it's obvious he's talking to both of them.]

Riku Problems, lol.

[Riku's eyes widen a little as Xion's narrows. There's a disquieting mix there of Sora when he's upset and Kairi's Look. At Roxas's reply, Riku's eyes narrow again, but not the same way, and he looks away. His tone is softer.]

...I don't know what's right and wrong for this situation. In either sense of the words.

[Fortunately, this time Xion is more willing to listen when asked to back off. She hadn't meant to get Roxas caught in the middle again, though she hadn't been happy with him agreeing to leave people out.]

[It helps that Riku backed off, too. She becomes visibly less tense, looking away. One hand moves to hold the opposite arm while she chews her lip in thought]

Me, neither, but I don't thinking leaving them out is right.

[He looks back to Xion out of the corner of his eye.] I really wish I had your conviction. [He looks to his hand.] The answer has to be one that works best for everybody. Us and our friends and everyone else. And I see bad things from any of the decisions.

[That last bit gets a small smile out of her because, gee, why does that sound familiar?]

Then we can do what seems right for now.

[The smile turns a bit wry.]

Though we might have different ideas of that.

[There's a long pause, but he's making eye contact, meaning he's trying to figure out how to word this rather than feel ashamed..]

[Riku waits for her in his doorway, his Cambot just outside the door. His room is messy. No surprise. However, there's an extra trashbag by the desk. As always, his desk is right at the foot of his bed, which will be useful here. On the desk is a pile of blank paper and a few colored pencils and pens.]

[It doesn't take her too long to arrive outside of Riku's door. She's not about to stand him up, and she hadn't exactly been far away.]

You wanted to talk?

[Perma-action!]

Discuss. You'll want to sit down. [He motions to the chair at his desk and shoos Cambot away before closing the door and locking it so no one could discreetly peek in. The moment he turns he puts a vertical finger to his lips in gesture to her. Riku then goes to sit at the corner of his bed so that he had access to his desk.]

[He then takes one of the sheets of paper out and writes on it with one of the pens. It reads: "Our resident spy can't eavesdrop on what they can't hear. I'll be jettisoning the trash after we 'talk' here." He pointed to what he wrote with the end of the pen before continuing. "This isn't about you or Ven. This is about Isa. And the fact I'm not sure I can trust Lea to keep his mouth shut."]

[To say that Aqua is a little surprised by how far Riku is willing to go for secrecy would be a massive understatement, but while she doesn't hide her surprise she goes along with it. There's not a whole lot else she can do, without jeopardizing whatever secrecy they're supposed to be hanging on to.

It feels a little ridiculous too, but she certainly isn't going say that, as she takes the other pen and another sheet of paper before setting about writing her own answer. "If it's not about us, then why mention us at all?" A moment later, something else occurs to her and she adds a hasty postscript. "And does it really matter that much if Isa knows?"]

[Isa's already at the meeting, feel free to convince Riku to have her come.]

[It may not have felt as odd to Riku in part because he was used to drawing pictures with Namine. "It's because you're further in the past, and so it 1) doesn't raise suspicions about Isa specifically from other crew members and 2) so he doesn't feel as singled out. Trust me, I don't like suggesting this."]

[It should be noted that when Aqua amended her response, Riku's expression grew grave. His response was certainly concise. "Isa is possessed by Xehanort in the future."]

[Aqua couldn't say she much approved of the idea to single anyone out, given that the point had been - as far as she'd understood - to simply share what they knew. If people didn't want to come that was their choice, but to actively try to keep them out seemed oddly counterproductive. Even if they did end up possessed by Xehanort (and even that took a bit of wrapping her head around the idea).

"What would Xehanort want with him?"]

[Riku's concern was what any "vessel" may willingly or unwillingly share with Xehanort, as any information could easily be used against them by the brilliant tactician.]

["Xehanort is somehow dividing his heart into 13 pieces to create 13 seekers of darkness. He plans to pit them against 7 lights to recreate a powerful weapon of legend called the x-blade."]

["The X-" Aqua's sentence cuts off there, as an expression of surprise crosses her face, before it's swiftly replaced by what can only be called stony determination. A moment later, she's back to writing again, although whatever she'd been initially writing seems to have been all but abandoned.

"If Xehanort is trying to make the X-blade again, then you need one of us there."]
