Military Log - 011

[dadandgone]

[A pony has his hooves to his face, glasses pushed up towards his black mane. Eventually he pulls his hooves down and the glasses fall back into place. He's not sure if he's disturbed, mortified, or just confused.]

So this is the madness we have to deal with this week? Pinkie, Rarity, Luna...are you guys still ponies because I think I need a little help here figuring out how you do...well...pretty much anything without fingers.

[Muttering]

Glad I don't shave any more, that's for sure.

[Pinkie trots in a small circle, looking herself over.] ....yeeeeeeppy-deppy! I'm still a pony!

[dadandgone]

[He can see that now, thank you]

Great. Do you want to give a lesson in how to BE a pony?

[sailorlaughter]

Okie-dokie-lokie! Don't worry, being a pony is TOTALLY easy! I've been doing it all my life! So, what do you wanna know?

[dadandgone]

Hmmm...where to start. I guess asking help with walking is a little silly, I mean, that probably just takes practice.

[sailorlaughter]

Yeah, I guess it'd be kinda different with four hooves, huh? Well, just start with little foalie steps and work up from there!

[dadandgone]

Just a little. [He looks down at his hooves. He can do this! He starts taking a few slow steps forward, careful of where he is moving his feet. After a few steps he starts to trot instead of just walk]

Okay...yeah. I think with a little practice I can get the hang of this.

[sailorlaughter]

Yep! And then, when you're better, you can start running and jumping and bucking! It'll be GREAT!

[dadandgone]

Ooh. Bucking. [He concentrates and tries to buck...but ends up doing a hoofstand and then flopping over, glasses going askew.] OOF!

Okay going to have to practice that one.

[sailorlaughter]

Yeeeeeah, you gotta have pretty good balance to do that.

[dadandgone]

[He adjusts his glasses]

I see. Well, some things just need to be practiced I guess.

Indeed! Now that thou art one of our subjects, it is our duty to assist thee!

[dadandgone]

Well that's nice of you. You have quite a few subjects now, by the looks of it

Yes! T'is quite exciting!

[eyeofwildtiger]

I actually don't really mind this.

[dadandgone]

Really? I mean, I guess it's not THAT bad, all things considered.

[eyeofwildtiger]

Did you get wings? Or a horn?

[dadandgone]

Nope and nope. Just a regular...blue pony.

[He shrugs] How are the wings anyway?

[eyeofwildtiger]

Ah, well. [He gives 'em a couple experimental flaps.] Kinda awkward, really. Still trying to figure 'em out.

[dadandgone]

Well, you might want to talk to Sora. I think he's taking to them pretty well.

[eyeofwildtiger]

Yeah? I'll get on that.

I'm having similar problems.

[dadandgone]

With shaving or just in general?

[halfdarkened]

General, really.

[dadandgone]

Walking just takes practice. Anything else, well, I guess that's trial and error.

[halfdarkened]

Basic hygiene's gonna be fun...

[dadandgone]

[Nervous laugh]

You can say that again.

I guess we can always use our mouths for the door handles. This is going to get pretty gross pretty quick.

[dadandgone]

Well, Pinkie and the others seem pretty used to it. Also, if we leave doors ajar we can just open them with our heads and not have to worry about handles.

Except the bathroom.

Though I guess someone seeing me shower isn't a big deal right now.

[dadandgone]

Considering over half of us woke up without clothes in the bodies of ponies, I really don't think you should worry about that.
