Eighth Key

[Cambot is wandering the halls pretty early in the morning, when he hears a yell from one of the rooms. He zooms over to investigate, only to discover a small black pegasus pony with a spiky brown mane come tumbling out of Sora's room. It shakes his head out...huh, the pony's still got Sora's eyes, plus his crown necklace. He looks up at the Cambot with total confusion.]

Hey! What's going on here?! It's like one of Donald's spells!...

[Oh wow, he is Pinkie's size now, isn't he? He tries to turn in a circle.]

I guess so... Do you know how this happened, Pinkie?

[sailorlaughter]

No, but it's AWESOME~

Look, look, you've got wings too! You're a pegasus pony just like Dashie! Can you fly?

[optimistickey]

[Good thing Sora is used to form changes, or else he might not be taking this as easily!]

Oh, yeah! [He gives the wings an experimental flap.] Maybe I can...

[He manages to take off from the ground, but hasn't figured out how to steer so well yet, and immediately bumps into the nearest wall.]

[sailorlaughter]

[Good thing Pinkie is Pinkie! She takes everything easily!]

[...well, except maybe that. She winces a little as he crashes.] Ooooh. Hey, I know! Maybe you need a more open space to do it! I know the first time I tried out my Pinkiecopter indoors, it was just LIKE that!

[optimistickey]

[Sora's not going to question the existence of a Pinkiecopter; it's just Pinkie Pie. He gets up, wincing a bit.]

Where do you think would be good to try it out here? Can't really do it outside...maybe on the recreation deck?

[sailorlaughter]

That's a GREAT idea! Let's go! [Yeah, Pinkie's coming.]</small.

Okay!

[With that, Sora trots off to the Recreation Deck! After a little while, he's down there, close to the track...Cambot decides to come along, since this could be interesting.]

[sailorlaughter]

[Pinkie arrives by the track not long after, dragging over a trampoline from another section.] Here! I dunno how baby pegasi learn how to fly, but I thought maybe this would help! You can jump on it to get up high, and fall on it if you crash!

[optimistickey]

All right!

[Sora grins...what's NOT to love about trampolines? He hops up on it.]

I've flown before, but it seems kinda different with wings...

[He tests out the wings again, does a few small jumps, and then bounces high off the trampoline, flapping furiously. He does manage to get some height in there, and stays aloft! However, steering still seems to be an issue, and he veers backwards and then to the right again all while trying to stay airborne.]

...Do you know if you steer with the wings or with your feet?!

[sailorlaughter]

[Pinkie's managed to drag in a few more trampolines while Sora was doing his initial jumping, and is now bouncing up and down right alongside him.] Um....I've never seen Rainbow move her hooves all that much when she's flying. Try tilting your wings!

[optimistickey]

[It's a whole trampoline factory in here! He hovers alongside Pinkie, his hooves kind of flailing.]

All right... [He tilts them up a little bit, and as a result heads down towards the ground. To the right, and he goes right.]

Hey, I almost got it!--

[And then he speeds up too much and smacks into the nearest wall. Oops.]

[sailorlaughter]

[Pinkie winces.] Ooooh.

You okay? [She trots over to his side and offers him a hoof up.]

[optimistickey]

[Sora stands up and shakes his head out. Not much of a gossamer landing, was it? He accepts the help up.]

Yeah, think so. I think I just veered too far there.

[sailorlaughter]

It's okay, I bet little pegasi do that a lot! That's probably why they all have to go to flight camp.

If you wanna try it again, maybe we could set up a few more trampolines...

[optimistickey]

Woah, there's a whole flight camp? [Sora so would've gone to flight camp if he could have.]

[He gets back up, a little dazzed but none the worse for wear.] I do want to try again!

[sailorlaughter]

Yep! I've never seen it before, it's up in Cloudsdale. Ooooh, it's too bad we don't have any clouds for you to walk on, they're so fluffy and sofffft~

Okie-dokie-lokie! [Suddenly, more trampolines.] Let's go!

[optimistickey]

Woah, you can walk on clouds if you have wings? [It just keeps getting cooler...]

All right, here goes... [He climbs back on a trampoline, bounces up, and tries to hover again. This time, he's a little bit more careful about steering, and is able to actually circle around one of the trampolines.]

[sailorlaughter]

Uh-huh! The pegasi even have a whole CITY made of clouds! I went up there once, it was SO COOL!

[She watches carefully, ready to try and catch him with a trampoline if he starts to fall. But he's doing it this time! Pinkie claps and cheers.] WOOOOOO! GO, SORA, GO!

That sounds really cool! How'd you get up there if you don't have wings?

[Sora grins and keeps circling around...then he switches over to another trampoline, and circles that one. After that, he tries to do a neat flip.]

[sailorlaughter]

[He seems to be doing great! Pinkie stops worrying about catching him and goes back to bouncing again, executing a few mid-air flips of her own.] I took a balloon! And then my friend Twilight cast this spell on all of us so we could walk on CLOUDS! And we got to tour the factory where they make all the weathery things, like snowflakes and rainbows - [She suddenly goes very serious.] - NEVER taste the rainbow, Sora. Never EVER.

Hmm, kinda sounds like some of Donald's magic...

[Sora has stopped worrying about doing tricks now, and is just focusing on staying aloft.]

Why not? That sounds cool!

[sailorlaughter]

Oooh, you know a magician? How does he do magic without a unicorn horn?

[She shudders.] It's NOT cool. It's HOT. My tongue felt funny for AGES afterwards!

The same way any of us use magic, I guess! Donald uses a staff to do his magic.

So...rainbows are spicy?

[sailorlaughter]

Huh. I've never seen anypony who wasn't a unicorn do magic before, ever! Does it light up when he uses it? What kinda stuff can it do?

Only the SPICIEST THINGS EVER! Even I wouldn't cook with them! I guess they're still pretty good for decorating, though.

It depends on the kind of magic! I've done it too, with the Keyblade...I just can't use it here. I don't think anything lights up when you use it, though...the spell just happens.

Even if they're really spicy...they still sound fun to try sometime!
