[Cambot is perusing the halls of deck 2 before stopping at an unusual sound, and panning down to reveal...Ammy, whining and turning around in circles. She's got something tied onto her head. When she sits still long enough, one can see that it's a single fake antler, tied with black thread.]

[Ammy doesn't need to draw something to show that she's confused about this unknown thing now attached to her. She looks back up at Cambot as if it can answer her question for her. What is this thing on her head, and where did it come from?!]

[Riku kneels to get on eye level with her. He looks intrigued.]

You got a name? [Not that he expects the wolf to say it, since it obviously doesn't talk.]

[She does, but with her track record so far, there's no telling whether anyone here will be able to read it. And if he can't, well, she's had her fair share of nicknames. She gets out a piece of paper she's been carrying, and paints 'Amaterasu' in Japanese characters before showing it to Riku.]

[Riku narrows his eyes at the paper. He shakes his head, sitting down.] ...I can't read it. [He reaches into his own pocket and pulls out a crumpled piece of paper he'd forgotten to throw away. From an inner vest pocket he pulls a ballpoint pen.] My name looks like this. [He writes out R-I-K-U very neatly. The letters look very simple by comparison.] I'm Riku. ...Is there something else I can call you until I can figure that out?

[Sigh...again, people can't read her name. She puts the paper away. She then waits while Riku writes his name...okay yeah, she can remember that.]

[When asked for something else, Ammy just shrugs. She's gotten lots of nicknames, so whatever he wants to call her is fine by her. Just please don't make it too silly or insulting.]

Hmm. [He thinks a moment.] ...Maybe for starters, are you a boy or a girl? [Sure, he could look, but he doubts that would be appreciated.]

[Well...that's actually another question she doesn't care much about. While she is a girl, people have called her a boy, and she doesn't really mind. She's a god, and that's all that really matters.]

[However, since he actually asked, she takes out another sheet of paper and draws the "female" symbol on it.]

[He nods, a little smirk appearing.] Got it. I'll be sure not to call you "Spike," then. [He thinks a moment. A good, temporary name for a female white wolf...] Ivory? Arctic? Ghost? ...Spirit?

[Well, that's a lot of different choices...and again, she doesn't much care. Ghost doesn't much sound right, though, as that's usually associated with malevolent ghosts. She makes a bit of a face at that.]

Huh. Okay, not "Ghost" then. [He shrugs.] Hm. Well, until I can read that, how about Arctic? Arc for short.

Hey, mind if I see that paper again? [He's referring to the one she wrote on. Riku still is holding his pen and scrap paper.]

[She seems fine with that. For the most part, she doesn't much care what people call her, as she's many things to different people anyway.]

[When asked, she hands him back the piece of paper.]

[Riku examines the writing and carefully starts to draw the symbols on his scrap piece of paper. It takes him a moment, and he redraws one of the symbols to the side, but all in all it's legible.]

Maybe I can find someone who can read this. [He folds it back up and pockets his scrap paper before handing the wolf back hers.]

[Ammy winces as she watches him trace her name...calligraphy is an art, one can take a lot of practice to get right. It's pretty clear that Riku hasn't had much practice at all.]

[But, well, at least he's trying to figure out how to read her name.]
