I'm more interested in how we ended up here in the first place. Transmat beam? Time scoop? Bad dream? Dear me, it's... it's rather like a good mystery!

Honestly, given where we are, it could be anything. Literally. We could be here because narrative causality demanded it, or because someone should have taken the left turn at Albuquerque, or just because. Your mystery just got a lot more complicated.
