Second Hack (Backdated to not long after First Hack)

Hey there, everyone. It's- hey, come on, this way.

[Seems that unattached Cambot has finally gotten attached, and its target was the boy currently adjusting it so it filmed his face and not off to the right like it was trying to. Said boy has shed his whelmingly distinctive costume and gotten into civvies, but he's still hiding his eyes - this time behind a pair of very dark sunglasses. And if he doesn't look remorseful or penitent, at least he looks more relaxed and friendly than he did when he first showed up.]

Sorry for being less than astrous earlier - it's been an overwhelmingly long couple of days, heavy on the "over," and showing up somewhere you can't identify with no idea how you've gotten there hasn't ever been my favorite thing in the world. I figured something else had gone wrong - and obviously it has, just not in the way I thought it did. So, sorry to anyone I scared, or attacked. If you ever want a spar in the future, all you've gotta do is ask.

Seems like you guys already know Wally and Kaldur, so that makes things easier. I'm a friend of theirs - call me Robin. And if someone could point me to some computers, that'd be amazing.

[And he grins at that.] I take it you're good with computers? Feel like meeting up somewhere?

You might say that. [He nods.] That'd be best.

You know this place better than I do, where would you suggest?

Meet me at the bridge. We'll go from there.

[gettraught]

Can do. [He'll give a bit of an informal salute and then disappear from Cambot's camera.]

[Shoos his away and hurries to the bridge.]

[Rob makes sure his cambot doesn't follow him and turns up at the bridge a few minutes later, peeking his head inside.] Anyone here?

[MakubeX waves.] Hello. I've swept the place for any stray Cambots, but we may want to move eventually, just in case.

[gettraught]

I thought they'd stay away if we ordered them all out. They have selective hearing or something?

[He's in civvies, but he's still wearing his gloves and of course the shades. Rob closes the door behind him as at least something of a precaution against the cambots.]

A few of them, it seems. Most seem to have their own personalities.

So... Would you be interested in helping me with something?

If it'll get us off this place and get us back home quicker? Definitely. Or even if it'll make this place better.

[Lack of internet hookup is killing him.]

The odds are about 50-50, but I've been thinking about trying to hack into the Mads' base. Then, once we have access there, we may be able to reach out even further.

Sounds like a reasonable thought to me. What kind of equipment do we have to put this all together? Does anything up here have a USB port?

All I have is this. [He places his hand on the crappy-looking laptop sitting next to him.] ...so not much, I'm afraid.

Hmm. [Rob looks at the little machine for a minute, pondering something, then reaches to his left glove and pulls out a cable with a USB hookup on the end.] Does that have a port? We can link our machines together to at least see if they're compatible.

Yes, right here. [He points out the port.] That would certainly make things a lot easier.

[gettraught]

[And Robin hooks in the cable, pressing the button that brings up the holographic keyboard and HUD hovering above his glove, starting to type with his right hand.]

I've gotta be careful with this - the charger's at home, of course, but it's got a pretty good amount of juice. I'm probably gonna have to try and build another one somehow - and I've got the feeling that this place doesn't have a lot of modern parts on it.

[MakubeX opens the laptop, keeping an eye on the monitor.]

I do have a charger for this. I'm not sure if it would be compatible. I've never seen a device like yours before.

Probably not - doesn't look like it has the right connection for it.

[His fingers fly as he forms a network between the two machines, not stopping talking while he does.] We had to build this from parts to get it to do what we wanted - I'm gonna have to conserve my power when we're done here.

If we can get through, but can't find a way down, perhaps we could at least order some spare parts. I'm sure we can trick them into sending them up, if nothing else.

Ever thought about taking apart some of the robots up here? It looks like they've got a surplus of the things, they probably wouldn't miss three or four. Even if they're not network-equipped that's still going to be a pretty good sized pile of parts.

[And his computer gives a 'beep' as it finishes setting up the network. Robin detaches the USB cord and lets it zip back into his glove.]

Okay, we're linked now. At the very least we'll be able to share info on what we find out.

I've considered it, but I haven't done so. They're a bit too... sentient for me to feel too comfortable to do so.

[Robin can't help but think of Red Tornado when Maku explains, and he gets a small grimace as he realizes the comparison.]

Yeah... I can see that. Okay, if they're controlling this satellite from down on Earth, they have to have some sort of connection to it, right? All we've gotta do is find the connection and hack into that, and we'll have an entry point to either go through ourselves or send some sort of virus down to hijack their systems.

In all likelihood, this is where we need to be. This is usually where we communicate with them. However, it could also be on the very bottom deck. I do believe there's a better chance of it being here.
