[Oh hey there Ratchet, where've you been? Stuff happened on the ship while you were gone.

...but something about the Lombax just doesn't look quite right. His fur's a bit bristled and it doesn't look like he's been sleeping very well at all. Scorch-marks cover some pretty broad sections of his armour, notably his hands. But he ignores all that and tries to address Cambot with as casual a demeanor as he can manage.

Which isn't that good.

Something's definately bugging him, other than their current predicament.]

I was gonna say something along the lines of how the heck I got tossed back and forth like this but, ah...

Could someone tell me why there's a talking dinosaur plastered all over the place?

I'm afraid we can't do that, Dave. Somebody pressed some sort of reality-warp button and we got zapped here.

...on second thought, I think I'd prefer the hyper-evolved deathlizards over everything else right now.

[Nods. The door's unlocked so whenever you're ready come on in.]

[When he eventually does - somehow, it takes him a half-hour just to get out of his pajamas - the Lombax is slowly entering the room, mindful of the chain of the new pocketwatch dangling off his hip. Large ears perk up for any sound of his companion, then he continues to venture in quietly.]

[Liz has just been sitting on the edge of her bed reading while waiting for Ratchet. She looks up when she hears the door open and offers a reassuring smile, gesturing to offer him a seat.]

[He tries smiling back, but it's a little too wide and too shaky to come off as anything other than awkward. Barring that, he heads inside and closes the door behind him, hopping up on the bed without another word.]

[Well, whenever he's ready, she's listening.]
